Abstract

Horseshoe kidney is a congenital anomaly in which the kidneys are partially or completely fused, and various anatomical elements, not just the renal cortex, may be involved. We present the case of an octogenarian male who developed nephrolithiasis and was found to have a horseshoe kidney incidentally, despite having no urinary symptoms or deterioration of renal function. The condition was resolved by percutaneous lithotomy.

Keywords: Horseshoe kidney. Urolithiasis. Percutaneous nephrolithotomy.
